The only thing I can think of is I'll have to get a credit card to pay for medical care, as I barely have any money left over monthly to shell out, and I will need to be able to pay for emergencies.

I really fear going into debt with this new stupid plan.  I've always tried hard to live within my means and not carry any debt (which we don't have other than our mortgage).  One ER visit with one of my kids will likely wipe us out.

So, your premium is going up even though you suddenly have a high deductible? And none of that money is going into an HSA? Please check with your HR department to find out if that is true for you. It doesn't sound right.[/quote]
