Are you white?
This. I assume all PPs who have done it were. Sadly.
+1
+2 My Indian American Dh was not allowed on our flight back home with our kids and I from California because he lost his Driver's License while there, they had to run a bunch of checks and he got on the next flight back. He also 99% of the time get's pulled for the "random" extra security screening. I'm also Indian American but get much less slack since I'm female. I feel sad for the crap my two sons will have to deal with as they get older. Op- The DMV will send you an electronic copy of your driver's license that you can print and take with you.
Oh for Pete's sake, I am a white middle aged woman and I routinely get pulled for extra screening--and even did when I was traveling solo with my kids when they were young.
Please stop, it's people like you that make white people look so clueless and arrogant.
You are clueless and arrogant. All races are subject to extra scrutiny and ignoring that fact to try and make a political point simply skews reality and adds to the problems we all face racially as a nation.
No, it is a fact and has also been addressed legally with the TSA with regards to racial profiling of 'brown' skinned people while flying. Have you been pulled for screening nearly every time of the over 80 flights you've taken since 9/11? You are being willfully ignorant. This is not a political point, this is about understanding what goes on outside of your bubble. http://scholarship.law.berkeley.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=1014&context=aalj http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/nationworld/chi-racial-profiling-rules-20141206-story.html https://www.aclu.org/blog/making-flying-while-brown-safe-again?redirect=blog/racial-justice/making-flying-while-brown-safe-again http://www.salon.com/2014/07/05/the_perils_of_flying_while_brown_partner/ http://www.huffingtonpost.com/news/tsa-racial-profiling/
