I'm just excited at the prospect of more options, of significant income during 16 weeks of leave, of policies that actually move us towards what the rest of the world already does. That my husband would also be able to take 16 weeks at close to his full salary? Potentially giving us 6-7 months at home with a baby before starting daycare? Just frickin' awesome. And as a DC resident, i'm quite proud to see DC lead the way on this. I hope other states and the federal government follow suit SOON.[/quote]
