I read one, which was plenty; I was not swept off my feet by Jondalar; and in general, I would pronounce Ayla to rhyme with Kayla. I would pronounce Isla I-la. If somebody pronounced it "EES-la", like in Spanish, then little Isla (or her parents) would say, "No, I-la, as in the Isle of Wight.", and that would solve that problem.[/quote]
