But in all seriousness. I'm 50. The goal is not to be a hot young thang anymore. I simply want to enjoy life. If that means toting around a few extra pounds so be it. As I get older...as long as I'm reasonably active, able to get around and do what I want to do - indulge every now and then - I'm good.
You and I would get along well. I feel the same way.
I just turned 50, and comments like these make me not want to post in this subforum. I still want to be sexually attractive.
Don't let me stop you. Just realize that unless you are genetically predisposed to look a youthful 50, you will have to put in A LOT more effort to come across as a bombshell. If that effort is worth it to you - do it. But the work outs, strict diet, make up, hair and fashion that I would have to do to look like a "hot young thang" these days is more than I want to deal with. Especially when you hear some of the biotchy comments on DCUM directed at women who are making the effort to look "Hot" but aren't completely successful in achieving the desired affect. Too skinny, too botoxed, too wrinkled, blah, blah, blah. NP here. I am 50 and still feel sexually attractive. No, I am definitely not a bombshell -- but guess what? I was NEVER a bombshell. I am reasonably fit, fun to be around, and very low maintenance. While I am sure that a 50 year old women is not everyone's cup of tea, I don't seem to have any problem finding dates or men who want to be in a relationship with me. In the past four years, I have been in three relationships: the men have ranged in age from 12 years younger to 10 years older. I pretty much find that I am as old as I feel. Most men seem to be the same way. Some guys my age seem SO old to me (like dating my 80 year old father) and some my age seem too immature. Aside from first impressions, age doesn't seem to be a big impediment in dating.
