Well, I'm 27 but I usually get mistaken for being in high school and even middle school a couple of times. I know what you're talking about. i was cute in my teens and early 20s and had the attention of guys my own age. But when I hit 22 it was like ALL these men started being interested. IDK, maybe cause I am aging slower but that hasnt declined yet. I actually find it somewhat annoying. Like the other day I was doing squats on the squat machine in (perfectly appropriate) gym shorts and looked across the gym to see two guys (not standing together) absolutely staring at the underside of my ass/thigh area. It's gross and nasty, and I think most of the attention is prurient and borderline misogynistic. Once you realize most men are worthless horndogs I guess it takes the shine off. I could not care less if I never got another look from a male stranger for the rest of my life.
I'm the OP. I used to be like you, I always looked very young for my age and had big baby cheeks and was really short so for a long time, from 0- 23, I was looked at as a kid and was passed on by all men. When I turned 24, I developed curves and I started to look like a young girl, I guess. That and the bloom of youth meant I got a LOT of attention; older men, younger men, neighbors, coworkers, free coffee drinks special treatment etc. It was amazing. And so sudden! And then i reached 27 and 28 and all of that has dropped. I'm honestly kinda shocked.
Well I am a couple months away from 28 and still nothing has changed, so I think- for now at least, it doesn't seem like that will happen anytime soon. I do have "baby cheeks" but my mom got approached to be in a survey for 20something when she was in her late 40s- maybe it's a genetic thing? Honestly, after 17 years of looking 15 it's starting to get old. A couple months ago I was denied entrance to an R movie because I didn't have my id on me, so I really wouldn't mind if I aged a couple of years. It also seems to attract a whole brand of creepers that think I'm in my late teens and still approach me. I have mostly dated younger men cause that's the group that approaches me the most, and not in a weird way. But it would be nice to be approached by guys my own age who DON'T actually think they're hitting on a 16 year old.
Ha you sound delusional. 16 yeah right. Get over yourself
I don't know why women who look younger always seem to spark such ire on DCUM? Plenty of women look much younger than their age. Look at Selena Gomez- she could easily pass for 15. I can see how that would be annoying if you've aged very fast and aren't happy about it, but people have different realities. Not everyone who acknolwedges they look younger is "delusional"- but whatever you have to tell yourself...
