About 80% of TJ students come from FCPS middle schools. That would suggest, in turn, that roughly 130 of the semifinalists are from Fairfax and that 33 are from other jurisdictions. If that is the case, I'd expect people in Arlington to be asking themselves why only two were from Arlington. That seems like a very small number, whether you compare it to the total number of TJ semifinalists or to an estimate of the number of semifinalists from outside Fairfax. [/quote]
