For Pete's sake woman - go to the ER - not urgent care - Measles are highly contagious and think if your DH gives them to the babies at urgent care! Even if it's just pink eye - YOU MUST tell your school nurse. As a parent please don't hide it and have the rest of the class get pink eye (or worse).
I did not hide the eye infection. He got it on Sunday and on Tuesday the doctor told me he needed to stay out of school for 2 days or until there was no more discharge from his eyes. When I took him to school (or daycare, whatever - his 4 1/2 yo brother attends their preschool program, so we just call it school because his older brother and his classmates call it school) on Friday, his eyes were 100% clear and he did not have a rash or anything and I gave them his doctor's note and told them what had gone on during the past week. He did have seafood for the first time Thursday night (salmon), I'm thinking maybe he has an allergy to seafood? We will be following up with the doctor, so hopefully will get an answer. It's almost noon now, and there is almost no rash left anymore, only thing left is a slightly runny nose. I would NEVER expose my child to other children when I thought or was told by the doctor that he was sick/contagious.
You don't have to defend yourself OP. This person was being nasty.
