If the title of this thread were true, you wouldn't see countless rich and powerful men cheating on their spouses with much younger woman. Who you Marry isn't 100% representative of your preference. And besides a list of 20 people is not representative of the population. There are plenty of men married to younger woman, you failed to include those.
They don't always cheat on much younger women. Sometimes the women are young.Sometimes they're the same age. Sometimes they;re older.
My ex's both cheated with older, less attractive women.
Attractiveness is an incredibly relative term. Obv not attractive to you, but your ex's saw something in them. Some guys like older woman. Some guys like younger woman. Some guys like skinny woman, or fat woman, or a woman with a leg missing. Some men even prefer woman that are underage ( yea yea I know it's sick, but it's true) Everyone has a type. I don't understand the purpose of this thread. Maybe the op meant to say "not all men prefer younger woman?" Which would be true.
OP here. I was just examining the trope that all rich and powerful men want and lust after nubile young 21 year olds. I'm trying to say that even most men find young girls very attractive, the logistics of life and society and interpersonal chemistry do not always arrange for a partnership between an older powerful male and a young attractive girl. Many powerful men build lasting relationships with women closer to their own age.
Oh I agree with you, I just feel that it works both ways. I don't think there is a preference in either direction. It might be skewed a bit because many of these men marry young to begin with if they divorced and remarried now it's hard to say they wouldn't pick a younger woman. Clooney is a great example of that. Either way plenty of people marry within their respective age range. But there are outliers on either side
That's fair. I think generally when people remarry there is less of a chance that they will be able to find partners their own age. Or, of course, men, especially actively choose to marry much younger if they want children. Even women can remarry younger men however. Take Katie Couric for example.
