How willing would you be to live by that if you were the one who was considered a second class citizen?  If you were the one that was harassed more frequently and had more restrictions on your rights based solely on some aspect of your person that you couldn't change.  Are you willing to live in a situation where at any moment, just for catching someone's eye and not turning your head fast enough is cause enough for you to be harassed and delayed and possibly fined?  Do you have to change your behavior to conform to extra unwritten rules that don't apply to others?

It's always the dominant majority who don't have to face these challenges who tell those who are most impacted to just accept it.  However, it is our obligation to work with the system to change the system so that these types of inequalities are eliminated.  I'm sorry that we have the gall to want to decrease white privilege that you so obviously cherish, but the system needs to change.  The first step to changing the system is getting recognition that there is a problem.[/quote]
