OP, I get that you are a dog person and apparently not all that grossed out by dog poop. However, how would you feel if some random person put stinky diapers in your trash? Would you like having your trash can smell like baby poo? When it is not your baby?
I legitimately wouldn't care because I feel like the grand total of time I spend near my trash can smelling is is like, at the absolute max like a minute or two a week. That's why I'm confused, I don't spend anywhere near enough time next to my outdoor trash can to even contemplate what specific products are producing what specific smells. I kind of have a hard time imagine the person who does.
LOL. You must have been raised to not mind the 2 minutes of bad smell per week. I prefer to not smell any gross smells from the trash can. And so, I double and triple bag things. I freeze things like bones, skins etc., that can stinkup the trashcan, in a ziplock bag and take it out on trash day. I rinse out my trash can with a hose and dry it before taking it inside the garage. And I would be very offended if someone threw their dog poop in my trash. Now, if they double bagged it, put it in a ziplock bag and then put in a contractor grade trashbag and tied it so that not even one wiff of stench escaped, I would allow them to put in my trashcan when it was out on the curb, before the trash was picked, on trash pick up day. Oh, and then I would also expect them to rinse out my trash can and Lysol it.
