But if he created the world one way, and it turned into something else, doesn't that mean he failed?  And if, it is actually the failure of humans (Eve, et al), but, since he knows everything, he knew that whole apple thing would happen and still he put it there, knowing she wasn't strong enough to handle it.  It just sounds like a set up to me![/quote]

No. It means WE failed. We failed as a human race and we fail individually, all the time. Look at it this way: You have your sweet Little One who is "perfect" as a baby. Then one day, she mysteriously morphs into a Terrible Two who talks back to you and rebels. Are you "surprised?"[/quote]
I'm not surprised, and also don't heap any sort of horrible punishment (eternal damnation) for it.  That is my point precisely. [/quote]
