It is entertaining to see a rich guy just saying whatever he wants. He hits a nerve with some disgruntled voters. But when push comes to shove, the GOP will need a happy warrior like Kasich to have any semblance of a chance.
Saying whatever you want might result in a few fans, but more often it just pisses people off. Whether the pissed-off are our foreign allies, our foreign enemies, whether industry, or other politicians and officials - he will end up alienating tons of people, and they will all work against him. Trump would ramp up the obstruction and dysfunction even worse than it already is.
You guys are being simplistic: Trump does what he is currently doing because it is working for him in terms of his polling and support. He did not achieve the success he did by pissing off everyone. As he said, he has donated money to Democrats and Republicans because that is the way the system works in getting things done. In the unlikely event be becomes president, I fully expect that he will realize that pragmatism will get him further in his dealings with other countries. His present rhetoric and approach is geared to what works in getting Republican support - and at this point he has been very successful.
