I didn't really get this at all before I had kids. When I was pregnant, we got two save the dates for weddings that would occur while my son was an infant and I had every intention of going and leaving the baby with grandparents. These were both DH's friends, so not a wedding I needed to go to but nonetheless, assumed I would. Well, fast forward, baby born, and no, I certainly was not going to leave my infant with grandparents but I was shocked by that. Truly shocked. [/quote]
