We were waitlisted at first as siblings this year . I would try again next year and K. We tried for two years before getting in. There is always the possibility that current families can move out of DC, which is what got us off the waitlist with DC1 (I only know this because I knew the family that moved). We also got in a week into school. It is likely at that point that, if the waitlist starts to move, it moves quickly bc the other waitlisted parents have already been placed somewhere and don't want to move their kids.
