I agree with this completely. Both 1. and 2. are spot on.  I moved from middle class to upper middle class/entry level rich solely because a) I'm a high earner married to a high earner and b) my middle class values taught me to save my money and invest for long term gratification, as opposed to working class friends, who spend any money they can free up.[/quote]
