Op here. We got a few of the Justice sports bras and then recently a few Maidenform sports bras from Macy's, and both are perfect. Dd finds both very comfortable and far cooler (temperature-wise, though probably the other meaning of cooler as well - haha) than the camis she was wearing. To the 13 year old who asked how to ask her mom - yes, ask straight out. Say you're ready. Your mom should listen. Dd told me yesterday that she was ready to shave her legs, and I appreciated her saying this. We will get shaving cream and a razor today. I am glad she raised this. I think a first bra is a similar thing. Your mom may not know you are ready (I only realized that Dd was likely ready because I noticed she needed it for coverage (not support) and that her friends were all wearing them). Good luck!
I am the 13 year old - Thank you SO much!!!! We just went bra shopping and I got 6 bras! 3 are plain looking, 2 are colorful, and we could even find a training bra that is lacy (that one is my fave). i can't wait to get a push up bra!!!
