I don't believe that there have been any broken bones associated with bullying.  Two children have broken arms this year, but they were super standard kid accidents that weren't related to bullying or other kids.  They are nobody's fault, just things that happen to active kids.

There are problems in the one grade with bullying and other behavioral issues.  The school has responded by changing the teaching structure of that cohort for next year to provide much more support, giving each class two lead teachers, one of whom is a special ed teacher (it is actually more complicated than that, as there are three classes, but each class has at least two lead teachers with extra special ed support).  Although there have been no complaints about bullying in other grades, the school is currently performing a full audit of how they deal with behavioral issues to ensure that things like this do not occur in the future.  As discussed in a recent school meeting, parents will get the written results of that audit during the summer and the school will hold a meeting to discuss at the beginning of the year (they don't want to do it earlier because the audit isn't yet complete and there are so many families who will be away during the summer).[/quote]
