Resort beaches?  I'm not a big beach person, but it's insane not to have lifeguards at resort beaches with lots of swimmers like this.  Huge safety hazard.   But I guess it's the same mentality as areas that don't provide fire department services unless you pay the annual fee.   Let your house burn down.   Taxes, who needs them.[/quote]

1) these aren't resort beaches, 2) that's quite a straw man comparison to fire services you've constructed there, 3) people don't need their hands held through every step of their lives. Personal responsibility matters. [/quote]
