History of the environmental movement in the U.S. Is pretty fascinating and has some drama, starting with that river that caught on fire that really got people thinking about what we were doing to the earth. Water wars too - and relevant to the CA drought. If you want critters, look at the outlawing of DDT and rebounding of raptors, or even history of beavers in the eastern U.S. All good stories and might pique his interest in our place in the world.[/quote]
