Our private neuropsych testing, done by one of the highest regarded groups here, diagnosed my kid with dysgraphia and dyslexia. Examples of my child's writing were placed into the report to highlight the dyslexia as well as the dysgraphia. At the screening meeting, several of the admin's kept going on and on about what nice handwriting it was and that the report (which was glanced through for about 45 seconds) showed no signs that point to dyslexia. I left with no IEP obviously.
We had a similar experience when the school psychologist (who only has Masters degree) challenged the report given by a highly reputable person (she advises the MD State Board of Education) with 3 Ph.D.'s.
