As long as you don't have a metal rim or similar metallic decoration your china likely is dishwasher safe. Even some metallics are. Get a good dishwasher with a China setting. My noritake is a traditional pattern. Dishwasher safe. Always washed that way. Looks as new as it did out of the box. Silver, on the other hand, should never be put in a dishwasher. [/quote]
