Same with us, but at Seaton. I saw no waitlist movement but I just received a call from Seaton asking if we were still interested. She then rushed me off of the phone because she said she now sees that my child is enrolled somewhere. I was trying to explain that we had to enroll last week or lose space. I am going to call back and hope I get someone who can understand me....me were having some difficulties because of language.[/quote]

Do you mean that the Seaton registrar (or whoever called you) was unfamiliar with the terminology of the lottery, or that she couldn't speak English?  Either way, I hope they haven't passed you by before you can get things fixed, if you want to go there.[/quote]

Yes...it seemed to be a mixture of both. She said that we ae now #1 on the waitlist and seemed to be searching for the words to ask if I wanted to register. I then asked how many days do I have to accept their offer and she did not answer. She said "oh, I see that you enrolled in a charter school" and then said okay thank you. I abrubtly interrupted her and asked whether or not she was offering us a space and we got nowhere.[/quote]

Seaton parent here. Sounds like a miscommunication. Do you plan to accept the spot? If so, call back and ask to speak to Ms. Daisy. She does speak Spanish so it's possible that she misunderstood you. She is very nice though so just explain to her what the situation is. If you are still having a hard time communicating, I would email Ms. Jackson (principal). Goodluck! [/quote]
