Every society has problems. Rich Indians have servants and rich people in US have "Help".  In the past. Whites in America raped their black slaves and sold off their offsprings in slavery.  Today, White police men shoot unarmed black people. Racial killings were so shocking to me when I came to this country.

It's been amazing. He's a professor... Very patient and kind, flexible and resourceful, tolerant and [b]open minded[/b] with a good sense of humor. I'm grateful I found him. 
We actually had zero problems with his family or mine before getting married. I know he's rare though compared to his friends and other South Asians as he's not judgmental or concerned with status like I've seen.

You got a really rare one, it seems.  I am not attracted to men from the Indian subcontinent, but I also don't think I could get past the religious/cultural differences.  Do his parents and siblings like you?[/quote]

Yes , very much. His father passed away when he was young and his mom now lives with us. He came to the US for grad school on a scholarship. We married young (me 22) and him (27).
