If say Dr. Doyle. He's very warm and fuzzy. He did a couple of procedures for me and my successful transfer. The blasts weren't the best quality and he was still so positive and reassuring (and I got pregnant with twins).
HOw is this possible? I felt like the lab was so quick to discard anything less than perfect. I was never given a chance to weigh in. I chalked this up to their desire to limit the number of cycles and keep their stats high.
They will not freeze anything that is less than perfect, but they will transfer what has developed. I never once made it to blast - both times I transferred, we did it at 3 days due to embryo quality at the 3 day mark (only 3 made it to 3 days on both occasions). I now have a 6-month old from that.
Shady Grove no longer does 3 day transfers.
Um, are you even a patient there? Yes, they do.
NP here. I just completed an IVF cycle with SG, and I was told by both my RE and my nurse that they would only do 5 day transfers. No option for a 3 day transfer. I'm not sure if this is 100% their only option now or not, but that was certainly my impression. May be different if there are extenuating circumstances...?
