And now, I get what you are talking about with the feel not on the floor -- I felt like I had to lean forward toward the edge of the seat in order to comfortably  support my feet on the wooden rung -- which mean I couldn't actually  rest against the back of the chair ever.

And the table seemed like a couple of inches too high from where my elbows were --- would have been even higher to the kids (b/c their torso height is shorter than mine).

LOVE the look of the counter height tables... but you were right... not functional.  Thanks.[/quote]
