It all turned out fine, but, he sometimes wonders what could have been had he had more exposure to excellence at an earlier age (perhaps he never would have ended up at that Ivy, but who knows).  It's a gamble, I think.  Maybe you are in a position to supplement so any potential transition isn't so traumatic?
