I'm glad it's not a big deal for your family, but for many families that's a lot of money. For a kid like mine (I'm the PP with the kid with the potential for suddenly serious medical issues), we'd be looking at about a flight a month to travel for specialists visits if things are going well. $3K extra in travel expenses is a lot on top of tuition and room/board.[/quote]
