I mean, I made a valid point, though.  How do we know that the parent actually lives in DC but has MD registered tags?  How do we know that the child actually belongs to a legal guardian who lives in DC?  How do we know that these people's permanent address isn't a DC address, but they are temporarily living elsewhere?  These are all things that have to be considered before you just go telling on people.[/quote]

Actually, these are things to be considered during an investigation, not by the person reporting. My kids get picked up by their grandparents with MD tags all the time. If I was investigated, I would prove my DC residency and thank them for their concern. I wouldn't be upset someone told on me, per se, but I would be disappointed that we weren't enough a part of the school community that my kids friends parents wouldn't know us and feel ok asking us.[/quote]
