What if it's a book everyone's already read, or one that's not liked?  Parents don't want any crap.  Maybe lollipops are the way to go.  Lollipops nay be junk food, but at least they're edible, and won't sit around your house until they're thrown out with the trash.[/quote]

Most of the books we get are far below my child's reading level and he has no interest.  They sit unread or donated.  We trash most candy. It doesn't get eaten.  We still have thanksgiving candy.[/quote]
