BASIS DC has some students who complete the equivalent of 1 year of high school geometry which goes on the high school transcript in 7th grade as well as Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Pre-Calculus done in 5th, 6th and 7th grades who go on to AP Calculus AB in 8th grade.[/quote]

Don't know how this evolved into a thread about BASIS but BASIS does not offer a 1 year geometry course.  And if they did I definitely wouldn't want it on my child's high school transcript.

Actually a full year of high school Geometry is taught and a full high school credit is given for Geometry upon completion of Algebra 1 and 2 at BASIS since the Saxon books are designed to incorporate a full course in Geometry in their books. Geometry is taught in full throughout Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Pre-calculus. I think it is better to have geometry throughout so that it is not just once and done and forgotten.[/quote]
