I always vacation in California. Every woman is in a bikini in California. Granted--they look great at all ages too. I would feel like I was wearing a Burka if I showed up in a One-piece or tankini on a Southern California beach. I work hard. I workout 6-days per week. I have a 6-pack, olive skin and no cellulite. Yes-I have had two kids. Yes- I am in my 40s. Yes- I will wear a bikini (my husband would have it no other way--and he's the only opinion I care about). Once the skin starts sagging and the age spots come out--I'll dress accordingly. Fwiw, I see a lot of moms in bikinis at our pool in the summer.
So no one on this thread is going to call BS on this vein in the thread over and over and over. Its just as ridiculous and American an attitude to make certain pieces of clothing something that you are or aren't worthy of wearing. Wear what you want, if you have cellulite or a tummy or whatever its still going to be there and noticeable in a 1 or 2 piece. If you are more comfy with your jiggly tummy in a bikini bottom than with a wet piece of lycra on it, so be it. I think the only real line you should worry about crossing is if you are going to end up accidentally naked (falling out or whatever) and embarrased by that fact. Other than that. who cares. you don't EARN your clothes or your self esteem.
