For my daughter's sudden mental health issues to disappear forever.
+1 we are going though the same thing. 2014 has been really rough.
We've been dealing with this for years and I've been wishing for the same thing each year. DS is 10 and had his first commitment at 6. Changing his meds every few months until we finally found something that seemed to work longer than the others.
Would you please tell us what's going on with your son? Why was he committed at 6? Was he a happy baby/toddler? When are the signs of mental illnesses noticeable?
Happiest baby and toddler. Seriously, the best, and sweetest kid. At 3 it just went down hill and he would say there were others in his head telling him to do bad things. All classified as his own voice and not others. He's dealing with a mood disorder, autistic spectrum disorder, emotional disabilities, epilepsy and ADHD (for good measure). I was exhausted when I started this thread back in 2010 and to be fair I'm not great at expressing myself in writing during the best of times. http://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/86699.page
Thank you for sharing. I hope your wishes will come true and your child is happy.
