I'm PP that got the hoop from Amazon.  Don't feel bad.  But Amazon does make it easier to shop early.  I'm sure my DS would love an Xbox, but he's not getting one, either. You are not alone in that.

If your DS likes electronics/engineering, you could get a SnapCircuit.  I got DS that for his Bday last year.  [/quote]
