My experience with two high schools and drugs: BCC = TONS of drugs available. Weed, pills, meth, etc. Parents cover it up, or aren't around to know its going on ... kids have disposable income, cars, etc. to make the party scene easier and more accessible. Blair = mostly weed, readily available.
Why are the w school kids doing so well in school? Amazing that despite drugs they are excelling amazing.
Adderall - part of the normal drug culture there. It gives them hyper focus to do well in school. I've never done it, but I had a friend once in HS who did it. She was a really good person, excellent student. But she felt the pressure. She took it once during finals. It gave her bad side effects; scared her sh1tless and decided never to do it again. But, it had its desired effects in that she was able to really focus and retain a lot more information.
You are confusing adhd with drug abuse. Aderal or amphetamines enable those with adhd to concentrate, those without the disorder become manic and cannot focus.
People take it illegally for the stimulant effect.
