I would love to hear current feedback regarding the pumps available from UH in Virginia. I have a seven week old daughter (my second child) and have been renting the medela hospital pump. While it has been great, it's not feasible for me to carry this back and forth to work each day. With my ds, I had issues early on with breastfeeding, and then issues keeping up my supply when I returned to work. Has anyone had a pump that has worked well for keeping up supply? Is there a pump available from UHC that is closer to a hospital grade pump? FWIW, I had a medela last time. TIA!javascript:emoticon(':-)');
I got the Medela pump that was available from edge park last summer (assuming it's more or less the same one). It was good, but it was definitely not as nice as the Ameda hospital grade I'd been renting. The difference was small enough, though, that I think it would be worth it to me to save the money and the trouble of lugging the heavy hospital grade around and just use the insurance provided pump. The only way I could see continuing to rent the hospital grade is if I were EPing.
