Those who seek to convert base it on this verse in the Bible where Christ commanded his apostles: Mark 16:15-16 (King James Version) 15. And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 16. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. Although it was addressed specifically to the apostles, some Christians - and especially the evangelicals - view it as applying to all Christians. The problem is that - like many other things in the Bible - there is selectivity as to what is sacrosanct and what should not be taken literally and what is open to interpretation.
Matthew 6:5 says NOT to be ostentatious about your faith. Don't pray "standing on the street" where everybody can see you.
Exactly. Christianity is not a religion. It's a relationship . It is a fellowship with God. Evangelism is the message " I am a poor begger who has found water , food and eternal life and I want to show my fellow beggars what I found.
Because god can't do it on his own, and if I can't get to the people, then God will send them to hell, despite his great love for them. Those are the rules that God made.
