I'm probably the mom that she saw! For me, the reason is timing. I have two and a half hours to get everything in hat I need to do. I dress in my workout gear before we leave, do the drop off, get errands out if the way and go for a run/workout right before pickup. I may not look like I worked out but I most definitely did. That's why I wear the fancy workout gear in fact! It looks good even after you workout, especially if I throw on a cute hat and a nice looking fitted workout jacket. Guess we could ask why do au pairs always wear grungy tees and too short shorts but I get it, it's comfortable. 'Nough said.
Gross. After working out, you should take a shower, not go about your day and throwing more clothes on top of your sweaty workout gear. If your workout gear still "looks good" after your workout, you are not working out hard enough.
PP, I do this too. I don't have time to shower and change until after I have picked up the kids. I start off with a clean body, and my hair is always in a neat ponytail, so maybe you can't tell I've worked out. For the PP who thinks it is gross, maybe check into your hygiene a bit? I remember reading an article about Gwen Stefani, and how she would be dripping soaking after a show, but no smell. That's how some of us are I guess.
