Absolutely spot on. I thought the exact same thing myself. She's never been anything but the best and nearly has a break-down when she's criticized.[/quote]
While I am glad she is gone before she had a nervous breakdown, I did not think she was spoiled by her parents or what ever.
After years of working in the arts, she is a familiar character -- someone who is over their head and really does not have creative talent. Just really doesn't. She is used to being good in math and Science, but when it comes to fashion design  ... no.[/quote]

I consider her, and one of the women who just left Master Chef, as examples of what happens when you praise kids for having talent and not for effort. When the going gets tough they doubt themselves to a toxic degree. google Carol Dweck--it's her research.[/quote]
