Anything that is not toxic to humans is not going to be toxic to lice. I don't believe for a second that they are repelled by rosemary, for example. And they are so prolific that even if something you do kills 99% of them, that 1% is perfectly capable of starting the whole cycle all over again. I can see that some products could make it harder for a louse to hold onto hair. But "harder" does not equal impossible. And we've been using mousse, gel, hair spray, hair dye, etc. etc. for a while now, and yet, we still have lice. [/quote]
