Still doesn't make sense. If Joint Legal custody, where the parents share care and control of the upbringing of the child, the child has only one primary residence. In Shared Physical Custody the child has two residences, spending at least a major portion their time with the other parent, but the child still need one primary residence, can't change school every 90 days. Also if changing primary residence for the child attending the better school, then need go through the divorce court system to change the custody agreement. No easy legal solution.[/quote]

I know plenty of couples with shared custody that choose the "better" school district for their kids.  Why are you so obsessed with this?  Who cares?  For all you know, OP is looking at houses in 2 the 2 different boundaries.  It's none of your business.[/quote]
