You never have to explain how smart you are if you went to an elite Ivy. There are some just as smart kids at UMD, but they will have to prove it to people.
Plenty of Ivy grads like to explain how smart they are, trust me.
This is 'beside' the point the poster made. You missed the point. It went over your head.
Really? I don't think she missed the point at all. In fact, I think she nailed it quite succinctly.
It was missed . The point being that an ivy degree means not having to prove yourself or your intellect. It's assumed. A non-ivy may be just as smart but his intelligence will not be assumed. He will have to prove it . She replied with snark about how ivy grads like to boast of their intelligence. Not true. They don't have to.
Ahem. I did not miss the point. Rather, I was asking: if it's true that Ivy leaguers never have to explain how smart they are, how come some of them think that they gave to explain how smart they are? You take yourself awfully seriously. You must be an Ivy League grad.
Ummmm...No. You missed the point. You replied with snark- not a question.
Give your obsession with one-upping the Ivy person a rest, loser.
