Jeff, there is something similar going on in the "daycare at six weeks" thread. Is it the same antagonistic poster from the sleep training thread?
I don't know if it is the same poster because I never really identified that poster in the sleep training thread. I deleted the thread before I got to that point. But, the anti-daycare poster is a chronic disruptor of daycare threads.
Jeff, I realize you are busy, but if you have the time -- since I am clearly the person she is threatened by in this particular thread, can you verify for the PP asking the question that the other poster she is also calling antagonistic in the "daycare at six weeks" thread is not me? She also said in the thread you deleted that I was posting in "toddler bitten at daycare" (http://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/377884.page) which I also didn't participate in. Can you verify that for her too? I ask this so the PP will realize there is actually more than one person out there who does not agree with her POV. It's a big world full of people with all different POVs. Also, since you deleted the initial thread before you got to the "antagonistic poster" could you please affirm that the problematic posts came from the pro-sleep training posters, since that's all there was to object to in what you read? Thanks.
Are you honestly trying to get the site administrator to "affirm" that only the pro sleep training posts were offensive, after at least one anti sleep training person went off the rails telling people they were bad parents? I mean it is one thing to acknowledge that unkind things were said on both sides, but to say that the anti sleep training posts were categorically acceptable is laughable.
You can read what I asked. The sleep training post directed at ME were really horrible. Not because I was antagonistic but because I was stating a POV that some did not agree with. It is not going off the rails to disagree with someone -- it is going off the rails to call them a dumbass and tell them to STFU spelled out, in all caps. That happened early on. I can't speak for the other posters when i wasn't on, but I know the nasty posts that were directed at me were because of my POV -- which other people share, despite the claims made by the PPs in that thread and in this one. (And i didn't bring the deleted thread to the attention of Jeff -- the poster who wanted to snuff out any disagreement did. If I had known this was an option, I would have brought it up early on in the thread.)
