Variety packs of Sam Adams are a good way to go, but if you want to do local beers, try a Starr Hill variety pack (based out of Charlottesville). DC Brau has a good selection too in cans. We like their pale ale as a good all around beer, and you could get a couple different kinds of their beers and be in good shape. Magic Hat #9 is another good solid beer choice.[/quote]
