Years ago, I hesitated to date a guy because he was only separated and still had anger toward his wife.  The next girl he met (while we stayed friends) did not have the same qualms.  He married her about a year later and they have a child and are happy.  That made me wonder if I'd been too cautious!!

So... does he seem emotionally healthy and not entwined emotionally with his ex, other than in matters related to the kids?  How's the relationship between them - amicable?  How are the kids doing?  If everything seems ok, proceed with caution![/quote]
