I am a white Ivy league graduate who had average Ivy league SAT scores (did much better on ACTs) and average Ivy League high school grade point average but was from a small midwestern town where no one ever sent in applications and that probably helped me get accepted.  It at least made me stand out.  Colleges are always looking at more than grades and test scores.

Exactly. Affirmative action. That is why he was chosen by all and there is news coverage on it. Is he the only person to ever score this high? Nope.  Is he the only one with ties to Ivies, play instruments etc...  Nope. The only one to get accepted to all? Nope. Than why the big story. Hmmm. One guess? [/quote]
