We have a hanging rod in the laundry room. Items that don't go in the dryer are also hung to dry.

Once all the clothing loads are done, I fold all the shirts and similar, piling by person and type (short sleeve, long sleeve, etc). Once I'm through all the shirts, they go in one basket per person. Then I sort socks and underwear by person, then fold or roll as appropriate. Bras get nested inside each other into a stack (isn't good to fold them).

Towels are also folded in the kitchen. I usually just put the sheets back on the beds as that's just easier. If they aren't going back on the beds, they are also folded in the kitchen.[/quote]
