Honestly, your problem is that you picked petworth -- which is not in the city core -- and work in SS and Rockville.  If your IB truly will not work for you when K allows you in as a matter of right -- why not try grace episcopal school, Lowell, Christ episcopal or one of the many Montessori / day schools near downtown SS? We both were born and raised in DC and don't want to move. If you haven't noticed people are moving back to DC. With our great school choice, why would we move? Does MoCo offer immersion programs which is what we are interested in?[/quote]
