Sister graduated there last year. she hated it after her first year. it is suffocatingly small. it is changing a lot. when she was a freshman it was more quirky but she has said swat has become a lot more 'bro-ish' and mainstream in terms of the students they're letting in. I.E. more penn style pre-professional striver types instead of 'quirky life of the mind' types as each year passes. getting to philly is a pain and not many students do it. sexual assaults have gone up during her time there. she never felt 'unsafe' but it is an issue at swat. on the plus side: - the student-professor interaction is excellent and a lot of profs are very flexible and really go out of their way to help out students due to how small the school is. - networking was very good (atleast for her) in terms of opening doors for interviews and internships which lead to a great job.
Good lord, why didn't she transfer after the first year? What a waste to have a space at a college like that taken by someone who isn't a good match for it.
they gave great aid, she got what she wanted academically/networking-wise out of it, and she probably wouldn't have gotten into where she would've rather gone as a transfer.
