Yield is a science the same way predicting the weather is a science: predictions are frequently very wrong, in either direction. Also, you're splitting hairs about colleges turning to waitlists only after deposits are made. I'm not sure how this makes a difference to the main point about kids on the waitlist having to wait until others give up their acceptances, but have fun splitting hairs if you want.[/quote]
